April 27

Hahaha how embarrasing but I am so happy. So I ended up staying in Chosica which really took me by suprise and it was really funny cause when they told me I was staying, I just began to hug everyone. haha Well I feel pretty comfortable and I am so happy to be staying here for another transfer. Well this week was another week of searching for new people to teach. Which I really love contacting and meeting new people. It was super great to talk to new people and just talk to them about the gospel. Really it is super fun just being so direct. haha During a contact I just love saying that the church is true and that they should really hear our message. It was really funny because one of the contacts that I did was kind of on a steep part of my area. I started to talk and I started to move towards the person but I wasnt looking at where I was stepping. Soooo.... the dirt kind of fell underneath my feet and I almost fell down a mountain. hahaha It was super funny and I think that is what made her listen to us longer. haha but dont worry I am safe and I will watch where I step next time. But wow it was really awesome to talk to people about what they believe in and it was really great to teach people that dont have the gospel. Well this week we taught one of our investigators and her name is Rosario. She is really awesome and she really is accepting to the gospel. Well when we teach her she is from a church that likes to yell things like AMEN PRAISE THE LORD. Haha it was really funny to teach her about the things of the gospel and to have her screaming AMen. haha but we explained that we would like her to ponder in the message and really think while we teach her. She listened and I could see her at times almost yell something but she closed her mouth. hahah that was kind of funny and I was trying not to laugh but really that lesson with her made me think. Was it us that told her to be reverent or was it the spirit. During the lesson I felt the spirit strong and I could tell that she could feel it to. It was really great to have her feel the feeling that I feel everyday. She later then told us that she has been having some problems with the family and that she had someone pass away. We were able to adapt the teaching to her needs and she felt the spirit even stronger. We closed with a prayer and she told us that she would attend church this sunday. Of course we will go back and teach her more during this week but I know she will feel an even stronger spirit in the church. Wow it was super awesome and we will see how that goes in this week. Well I feel like that is all that happend this week and I really hope this letter is long enough. hahaha Oh yeah and happy birthday Joni this week. You are awesome and great and such a great example to me. Oh yeah and happy birthday to Hayden this last week. I was going to write that last week but I didnt forget and so I decided to tell you this week. haha But I love you two and I hope your birthdays were amazing. Well that is all and like always I love you all.

April 20, 2015

Oh yeah another week in the mission. Well I dont have very much again. haha but right now I am super nervous cause they tell us who is going to be changed or transfered from the area today. Honestly I hate transfers and I am super nervous cause I love the area and my companion and it is just so crazy right now. Well if I get changed then I will try to look at positivly and just not think about it to much. But there is a chance that I might stay. I really hope so but Peru is pretty awesome with a lot of good people so I will be happy with whatever. Well this week was pretty normal and I am trying to think of things that happened but yeah I will start with the talk a gave yesterday. haha it was pretty funny and really unexpected. So we are in sacrament meeting and the sacrament was all passed out and they start anouncing some news that happend and boom.... And now we will be pleased to hear from Elder Nieman. haha Crap I didnt prepare anything and they want me to talk for 15 minutes. I was seriously shaking and was so nervous to talk. Well I start walking up to the stand really slowly trying to think of what I can share and luckly I thought of something. Haha but the first couple minutes were pretty rough. But I shared 3 Nefi 11 and I think it went pretty well. That is when jesus comes to america and lets everyone feel his hands and feet. Well I talked about that and how sometimes as members of the church of Jesus Christ we dont listen to the spirit to preach the gospel. In the first couple verses it talks about the people hearing a voice and they couldnt hear it for the first 2 times but for the third time they heard it. I said it was super important to listen to the spirit and preach the gospel. And then I said in verse 15 I think. It says the people went to Jesus uno por uno. I dont know if it is the same in english but I explained that the people we pass on the street are the people that need to arrive to Jesus. I dont know if I am explaining this very good but if you guys want you can look it up and read the entire chapter of 3 nefi 11. I think it is one of the most important chapters in the book of mormon and wow is it so awesome. Well after my talk I thanked everyone for the support they gave me and said that I will probably end up leaving. I bore my testimony and that was it. But something really amazing happend. When I was walking back to my seat a couple people just stood up and started to hug me. haha As a missionary I think that is against the rules so I was a little awkward. haha but wow it was really great to feel that I helped people in this area. Also we had a women named tereca that came up to me and told me that I was such an inspiration for her and her son. Her son has been struggling really bad and we have been helping him overcome the obstacles of life. Me and him became really close and he is truely awesome. That moment I realized that I didnt really baptize many people in this area but wow I helped so many people. I thank heavenly father everyday for the oppurtunity to talk and preach each day. He helps me when I struggle but the most important is when he is helping the people that truely need it. It is truely amazing and I am so happy and this area has been such a great area. Well if I go I will return to this area. But if I dont go then it will be super embarrising to say oh I didnt go and I stayed Pierola. haha but all is good and all is well. haha but I love the heck out of all of you and I will talk to you next week. Oh and if you have anything to ask me just ask me. haha cause I love all the questions.

Love you all forever

April 13, 2015

Well there wasnt much that happend this week so this letter is going to be hard to write but I am sure I can think of something. Haha well I will just start off saying that I love my area and the people in it. I really do believe that this is going to be one of my favorite areas. Just all the people are so accepting and kind and they really believe and have faith in Jesus Christ. It is just really cool looking back on the people I have met in these past 8 months and I just think that I have made so many great relationships and I am so happy to have met them. HAha at least most of them liked me, that is not including the houses that I knock on and it is a house of a very strong catholic or other religion. I think those people really do not like me. haha But hey that is the way it is in the mission and really I am so happy to have talked to them for a little bit about the gospel of Jesus Christ and maybe latter they wont harden their hearts next time the missionaries knock. haha but when that kind of stuff happens it is kind of fun and just increases your testimony. Also you learn so much about different religions and what they believe. I respect every religion and thier beliefs, the thing is that I know that the church of Jesus Christ is true. That makes all of this worth it and to see the people open their hearts and hear the message, that is something really special. Well I have been trying to work really hard this week and try to get as many lessons as I could but sometimes in the mission there are weeks were you get nothing. haha this week was one of those weeks but really it was great to contact and to teach a little message to the people. This week we found new people to teach and they accepted us and want to hear from us. A lot of them have many questions that I havent even thought of but wow it was really cool to see the spirit work inside me and spit out the correct answer. That is super awesome and once you have answered the question, you say to yourself, Oh freak yeah I am so awesome. haha but was it really me talking or was it the spirit. I know it was the spirit and I am so grateful for the holy ghost to lead me and guide me through my days in the mission. Woooow 8 spanking months haha. I am just flying through this whole expirence and it is truly one of the most amazing things that could happen to me. I feel like I have changed a little not a lot but a little. It is crazy to see some of your habits just go away. Woooo the mission. haha well I want to tell a story about this couple that we found. They are inactive and they have been inactive for 3 years. They only went to church twice after they were baptized and now they dont go at all. Well we talked to them and set up an appointment. Well when we went to teach them they were so awesome. Haha at first they told us that they didnt want to come back to the church but as we taught about enduring to the end I felt the spirit so strong and I felt like they changed during the lesson. I have so many stories about the holy ghost changing people but that is what happens when the lord helps us. Well we taught and taught and when we ended the husband said a prayer that was truely amazing. He prayed for strength so he can return to the church. The only thing you need is the spirit and trust in the lord. It was really awesome and I really hope they get the chance to return and go to the temple. Yeah that was really great and I think that was really all that happend this week. There are many little things that I can tell but I dont have much time to tell them. There are so many little and big miracles every day. We only need to search for them. I love you all family and friends and I know the church is true.

April 6, 2015

haha so first off I would like to apoligize for my last letter. haha I was really freaking out and I felt really down but that is ok cause now I am happy and serving the Lord like crazy. Even though the Huayco was something really traumatic and I saw so many sad things I felt comfort that the Lord is going to take care of the people in Chosica. Well It has been officially 2 weeks since I have been away from Chosica but today in the morning we got a call from president and he told us we can return to Chosica. Ohhhh that was so amazing and I was so happy and right now I am typing in my sweet sweet Chosica. haha Well right now I am just really excited to teach and help people. It is going to be the best. Well wow general conference was really amazing and of course my favorite talk was from Elder Holland. He is the man and I really think he is such a beast. All that gave me so much motivation to work harder and help everyone in my area. Also he just has a way to talk to people and just freaking throw it down. haha that was by far the best talk but I also enjoyed a lot more. I cant remember who said it but he said that if you are texting during the sacrament then you are not on a great path and like tearing down your spiritual strength. hahahaha that was so crazy and everyone in the room was going crazy. oh and by the way I watched it in english with all the missionaries. It was so direct but it was right. The apostles and the prophet just really know how to give it to you. I know they are called of God and I could feel the spirit in every talk they gave. It was so awesome.

Well I spent another week in Las Lomas and really it was super hard to work. Thinking so much of the people in Chosica I felt really weird. Well we kept on going and really I am so happy that we are back and I had the chance to work with other Elders. During the time I was in Las Lomas we found 2 families and 26 new people to teach. That is really good and it was super crazy cause it felt like every person we contacted wanted to hear the message and let us into their home. haha It was really good and in that area they are going to baptize so much. And that is where I feel confused. Should I feel sad that I wont get to see them get baptized or should I feel happy. That is what I asked myself this week every day and I finally decided that it is something so amazing. I also remembered I forgot the reason I wanted to talk to everyone about the gospel. I dont care how many baptisms I have, I only care about the people that have a seed planted in their hearts. That is something amazing cause when I leave they might go get baptized and through my little message that I give them, will help them increase their faith. And maybe a little later in time they will have another companionship come by and do the exact same thing and then they have another great oppurtunity to accept the gospel. Wow it is truely amazing and I love how the mission and just life works like that. Everyone can find happiness through pacience and diligencia. It is truely amazing to be a missionary in this time and I cant wait to get back on track in my area. Well that is all that happend this week and I really hope you all had a great easter. Cause mine was amazing. Sharing the gospel and going hard with the conferencia. hahaha well I really love all of you and I hope this next week is amazing.
